Behavior Counseling

Pet Behavior Counseling Available at High Country Pet Clinic
The problem we see with our pets often has nothing to do with a physical ailment, it is often behavioral. Some pet behavioral problems can be so serious that they threaten the life of the pet. When a frustrated or fearful pet owner can no longer cope with the difficult or aggressive actions of their pet they often consider leaving the pet at a shelter or even euthanasia.
High Country Pet Clinic Now Offers Canine Behavior Training with Morgan Ardy
Morgan is a Canine Coach with over 6 years of experience training and rehabilitating dogs. She has worked on cases ranging from basic puppy manners to extreme behavioral issues. Sometimes as dog owners we tend to forget our dogs are dogs and before we know it little issues turn into a giant elephant in the room. With Morgan’s instruction and expertise you can soon have the joy back of a balanced peaceful home with your amazing canine companion.
Morgan teaches her courses based on her Core L.E.A.D. Fundamentals:
Learn to be the best dog guardian and help your dog to find their purpose and job(security, companionship, service etc.)
Exercise
Affection
Discipline
Morgan has experienced that achieving balance in the home begins with her fundamentals and appreciating your furry friend and teaching them to love being a dog! She believes and guarantees that what you the pet owner put into training class is what you get out of it and has heard from many clients that her classes were more for the pet guardian than the dog!
Our dogs are not perfect but they perfectly fit into our life and hearts and this is the hope and goal of High Country Pet Clinic and our Canine Coach Morgan for all who attend our classes.
Group classes:
Basic Obedience- The Basic Obedience is a great course for puppies and in some cases older dogs who just need to get back to the basics. It is a great foundation for you as a dog guardian to learn how to lead your dog; it also gives you some of the basics on dog manners and obedience as well as some general techniques for handling behavioral issues.
Canine Behavior-In our Canine Behavior course we focus on developing your dog’s ability to learn behaviors by using increased distance and distractions similar to everyday life. This course is more advanced and we will focus on strengthening your dog’s reliability and attention in every situation as well as learn some fun tricks.
AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (coming soon!)- The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
Group sessions starting continuously and run once a week for 6 weeks. Private lessons are available and run an hour in length. For scheduling and more information on our time and cost friendly classes call the clinic today and ask for Morgan!
